FAQ'S

Q - To get the full benefits of raw honey, how should I consume it?  Can I mix it with anything?  What about if I use it to sweeten my tea or coffee, will it lose its’ benefits? 

A -  You absolutely can mix Raw Honey into other foods.   As for mixing it in tea - this is fine provided you don't mix it with boiling water.  Wait a few minutes for it to cool so as not to damage the enzymes and natural bacteria in it.

Q - What is the best way to store raw honey?

A - Raw honey is best stored at room temperature.

Q - I noticed that my raw honey developed a harder consistency over time. Is this normal and how do I soften it?

A - The harder consistency of our Raw Honey is a natural process and a sign of very high quality honey. If you'd like to soften it, place the honey in a pot of water and place it on the stove. Don't boil it but heat it gently and the honey will soften. Keep it mind, a quality honey will always begin to crystalize/harden over time. This is due to the natural compounds found within raw honey including royal jelly, bee pollen, propolis and beeswax which are NOT filtered out like most honey products on the market.

Q - I noticed my Raw Honey tasted slightly different than my last bottle from you. Why is this?

A - As for the taste, we do not flavor or alter the taste of the raw honey EVER. How it tastes out of the hive is how it tastes in the bottle. Keep in mind this is a raw agricultural product. We can not change the taste unless we add flavoring to it, which we would never do. Taste in raw honey is a result of where the bee's happened to visit and what plants they pollinated. This can change from day to day and season to season. We like to think of the slight variations in taste from batch to batch as Mother Nature's sprinkling of flavor into each unique batch.

Q - What is the difference between unpasteurized and pasteurized honey? Is unpasteurized the same as raw honey?

A - Pasteurization is a heating process that kills all bacteria in a substance, both good and bad. Our raw honey is unpasteurized yes. But it is also unfiltered. Unfiltered and unpasteurized are what make a raw honey.

Q - Your honey is smoother than the raw honey I normally buy.  Why is this?

A - Our honey is 100 % natural. We do mix the raw honey to smooth the crystallization process. Honey from different regions and floral sources will have different consistencies, which could explain why ours tastes different to you. The honey our bees produce will even have a wide variation in taste and color depending on the time of year it is produced as well as the particular weather patterns year to year.

Free standard shipping within Canada is by Canada Post Expedited parcel only. Xpress Post, UPS and Purolator do not qualify for free shipping.

Fresh Royal Jelly

Fresh Royal Jelly orders within Canada only ship on Mondays & Tuesdays as we do not want to risk having the frozen product sitting in transit thawing if it does not arrive before the weekend.

All Other Provinces/Territories: only ship on Mondays

**BC and Alberta Customers: It is highly recommended you purchase either Xpress Post Shipping or the 2-3 day option from UPS or Purolator for your Fresh Royal Jelly order, especially during the summer months.

Our Standard Shipping with Canada Post is 5 business days to BC, meaning it will not arrive before the weekend when shipped on Monday. There are no refunds for Fresh Royal Jelly orders.**

Canada Post WILL NOT leave your Fresh Royal Jelly package on your door step, if you are not home to receive your order. It is your responsibility to ensure that your Fresh Royal Jelly is picked up from the Post Office in a timely manner. There are no refunds on Fresh Royal Jelly.

If you will not be home for delivery and you’d like your Fresh Royal Jelly left on your door step or property, select UPS or Purolator as your shipping option.

Any Fresh Royal Jelly order placed Tuesday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday.

We offer free standard shipping on orders of $149 or more within the United States by USPS.*

Also excluded from the free shipping offer are orders of 12 or more units of any honey product. Please contact Customer Support to make shipping arrangements.

International Orders

Free shipping is not available for international orders.

Fresh Royal Jelly

Fresh Royal Jelly orders to the United States only ship on Mondays as we do not want to risk having the frozen product sitting in transit thawing if it does not arrive before the weekend. The only exception to this policy is if you purchase USPS Express Shipping (3 day) in which case we do ship on Tuesdays.

**It is highly recommended you purchase Express Shipping for your Fresh Royal Jelly order, especially during the summer months. There are no refunds for Fresh Royal Jelly orders.**

USPS WILL NOT leave your Fresh Royal Jelly package on your door step. If you are not home to receive your order, it is your responsibility to ensure that your Fresh Royal Jelly is picked up from the Post Office in a timely manner. There are no refunds on Fresh Royal Jelly orders that are not picked up at the Post Office.

Any Fresh Frozen Royal Jelly orders placed Tuesday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday.

Australian Orders

We are able to ship to Australia but cannot ship the following products due to Australian Custom’s restrictions:

No On-Time Guarantee

We have no control over our shipping partners, their operations, or events that affect their delivery schedules. We therefore do not guarantee on-time delivery with standard shipping.

We do guarantee delivery times if you purchase and upgrade to Express Shipping. This includes Canada Post Xpress, UPS Expedited 2-3 day and Purolator Express.

No Liability for Customer Data Entry Errors or Customer Absence

We are not responsible for customer errors in delivery address entry or delivery method. Please review your order and contact us immediately if you find mistakes.

If you or your designated recipient are not home to accept your parcel, and the delivery person cannot find a secure drop point for it, the delivery person may make up to two additional attempts to deliver your package.

We are not responsible if you or your designated recipient is absent during any delivery attempts and, as a result, USPS, UPS or Canada Post returns the package to us as undeliverable. In such a case, an additional fee will apply to reship your package. If you choose to cancel your order after an instance of non-delivery, we will deduct the original shipping fee from your refund.
